Business Credit Cards: The Business End of the Credit Card Game

It's never been a secret that big businesses get the best credit card deals. More money to spend means more money to lend, right? Businesses are almost entirely separate entities from their owners, and regardless of success or failure, they still have colossal amounts of money in dire need of spending. It just makes sense that credit card companies would fight for the small businessess... er, business, which is precisely why these business credit cards are so well-endowed.

A few perks on the ole business credit cards include astonishingly low interest rates, gigantic spending limits, and huge kickbacks toward traveling expenses. Typical business credit cards will offer no interest for the first year and half, a two or three percent rate after the introductory rate has expired, and they usually lack an annual fee. Pretty nice, eh? Kind of makes you wonder why it's reserved for "business men." Let's face it; the stone cold deadest corporate executroid is just as likely to misspend that nice, huge credit line on margaritas and dinner at Le Ritz as anyone else. So why do businesses get all these perks?

The answer is simple: free market economics force their hand. Business credit cards can absorb business sized expenditures. The credit card companies are already going to make a lot of revenue off of their business clients, and they'd milk them for twenty-five percent annual percentage rates, too, if they could get away with it! So why can't they? It’s a matter of simple competitive spirit. These credit card companies are all competing for big business money, so they try to attract potential clients with more flexible payment plans, larger credit lines, and smaller interest rates. Don't be jealous. Once you win the lottery, you can have one too!
